Decoding Social Procurement

The team at New Doors has been assisting architecture practices and other built environment service providers with tenders for over 20 years. During that time, we’ve witnessed the emergence of social procurement dimensions such as ethical First Nations, environmental sustainability and local procurement forming part of the weighted criteria.

We have also started to hear from our clients that they are struggling with these requirements. Many practices are taking a reactive approach, hastily compiling policies just in time for tender submission deadlines. While this might get them over the line on specific opportunities, it doesn’t address the growing social procurement requirements practices are facing or the perception of their practice within the wider supply chain.

So, we decided to do something about it. At New Doors, we are developing a Social Procurement Kit designed to help you understand the drivers behind these new tendering requirements and how you can start to engage with them on your own terms.

We will present our framework for Social Procurement in partnership with the Association of Consulting Architects on Tuesday, July 30, at 1 p.m. Click here to book to attend the live presentation or to watch the recording.

Our Social Procurement Kit will contain a myriad of resources to support the development of our own practice social procurement strategy. Please complete the form below to be informed when our Social Procurement Kit is launched in September.
