At New Doors, we do our best to appear effortless as we deliver a range of tailored outputs for our clients. However, there is a lot that happens behind the scenes to enable this seamless delivery. Digital Marketing Assistant, Meg Calvo is a resourceful, organised all-rounder, who is our secret weapon for ensuring the timeliness and quality of our work.

After completing a bachelor of science in secondary education, Meg discovered an interest in marketing and has been applying her diligent approach to roles in related industries for the past five years. Over this time, she has undertaken a range of marketing support positions in small privately-owned businesses as well as large listed corporations.

Now playing a fundamental role in developing New Doors’ start-up business, Meg contributes immensely to our small team’s dynamic, in both a personal and professional capacity. Our weeks begin with her cheerful project status roundups, which give us a valuable birds’ eye view of our trajectory across the board and keep us on track with client deliverables. Meg’s can-do attitude and eye for detail have been key to expanding our service capabilities as New Doors grows.

“Being involved in the early stages of a company has been both exhilarating and challenging,” says Meg. “Whenever I’m faced with new challenges, I am delighted because I know it will provide me with extra learning opportunities as well as add value to the company. It's a win-win situation for everyone.”

Meg’s training in digital marketing informs her SEO work for various clients, and consistent analytics reporting on marketing campaigns across their online and social platforms. She is also responsible for facilitating efficient management of backend business systems for both New Doors and our client network.

“I enjoy developing analytics reports for clients because it allows me to gain a better understanding of the company and its current situation, as well as identify areas for progress,” says Meg. “It makes me very proud whenever I observe an improvement in the site's performance, since I know that the efforts they've put in have paid off.”

Founded in the wake of the 2020 Zoom boom, New Doors enjoys a globally dispersed business model, establishing regular team meetings and various communication channels to create a proactively connected remote work culture. Meg is based in bustling Cebu, a centre of culture, creativity and trade in the Philippines. In her downtime, she’s an avid online gamer.
